By Fire Captain John Myers
April 27, 2024

Car Fire: Yesterday, crews from SAVES and HAFR (York Company 79) responded to a car fire in the area of Wilson Ave and Carlisle Pike. Units arrived on scene to find a station wagon with the engine compartment and part of the passenger compartment engulfed in flames. Crews worked together to extinguish the flames. TNT towing arrived to tow the vehicle away and the road was reopened shortly after.

Transfer Assignment: Overnight there was a large fire in York County. Quint 29 was one of many pieces that transferred to back fill stations. The crew and Quint 29 were moved up to York County Station 61 in Shrewsbury. The transfer crew remained there for 5 hours prior to returning home.
