Mutual Aid Structure Fire

On Tuesday August 15, 2023 @ approximately 13:45 hrs. Adams County Department of Emergency Services (ADCES) struck Box 20 for a Commercial Structure Fire. Quint 29 was alerted to assist Co. 20. Chief 20 went enroute moments after dispatch and immediatley requested the Working FIre assignment which added Engine 29 and eventually Rescue 29 as a replacement piece. Technical Rescue Assist at Long Arm Damn in West Manheim Twp, York County

On Saturday August 12, 2023 shortly after Noon, Rescue 29 was dispatched mutual aid to York County, West Manheim Township to assist Station 52 for a Technical Rescue of a person stuck in Mud. Rescue 29 responded with 5. Upon arrival to Long Arm Damn behind station 52 and 79 apparatus, crews were assigned different areas to search for the victim. Touch-A-Truck Event with Life Discovery Church

On Sunday, July 2 members of SAVES displayed Engine 29 and Service 29 along with Seargent Kitzmiller from McSherrystown Police Department with a Police Cruiser for a Touch-A-Truck Event for Life Discovery Chuch. Members of the church were able to see and climb in the apparatus as well as hold equipment. The children of the church had a blast sitting in Engine 29 while wearing their very own fire helmets ... Cub Scouts Pack 107 visits SAVES

On Monday, April 24th, Cub Pack 107 stopped by for a tour of the station. In addition to their tour, the scouts learned about Firefighters, the Apparatus and the equipment used by the firefighters on a daily basis complete life and property saving tasks. We here at SAVES enjoyed having Cub Scouts Pack 107 and teaching them about what we do and welcome them back anytime.

Mutual Aid Transfer to Carroll County

Tanker 29 transfer to Carroll County Station 7 (Lineboro). Tanker 29 was alerted by Adams County Emergency Communications Center @ 1742 hrs to transfer to Carroll Sta. 7 while they operated on a Woods Fire @ RVR. During February Big Bingo, company 29 was alerted to the 29-8 box at Edgegrove Road and Church Street for a motor vehicle collsion with entrapment. Engine 29 arrived to find one vehicle off the roadway that had struck a tree with one person trapped. Air medical was requested to the scene. Double Pull for Tankers and Transfer

On Friday, January 6th @ 15:48 hrs both the Tanker 29 and Engine-Tanker 29 were requested on the Tanker Task Force in York County, Manheim Twp. for the working barn fire. Both tankers responded and were on scene for approximately an hour and a half and hauled a few loads of water each.
